Lash Line Enhancement

PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

1 year before & until the day of procedure:

  • No Accutane, Tazorac, or any similar medication before your procedure.

1 month before & until the day of procedure:

  • No Glycolic acid, chemical peels, and/or laser treatments on the face.

  • No Retinol products or anti-aging creams (ex. Retin A).

  • No anti-aging, acne treatments or salicylic acid around the eye area.

  • No eyelash enhancement serums (ex. Latisse because it brings extra circulation to the lash line area which can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily.)

  • No facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels and/or laser treatments.

  • If you have an iron deficiency, PLEASE take a supplement for 1 month before and also during the healing process. Some pigments/ink that I use are iron oxide based and your body will just metabolize it, causing you to have little to no healed results.

2 weeks before & until the day of procedure:

  • No botox injections 2 weeks prior to procedure; in the eye area only.

  • No extensive sun exposure and/or sunburn on the face.

  • Do not get your lashes tinted and/or lifted.

1 week before & until the day of procedure:

  • No blood thinners, including Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, or Naproxen (Tylenol/Acetaminophen is OK)

  • No fish oils, DHA supplements, Turmeric, Vitamin E, or Niacin.

  • Eyelash extensions must be removed.

**If any of the above are taken for medical purposes, please consult with your physician first.

24-48 hours before & until the day of procedure:

  • No coffee, energy drinks or alcohol 24 hours prior.

**All of the above factors can cause bleeding. The more you bleed, the less that will allow the pigment to implant correctly into your skin AND it can effect the healing process.

Day of procedure:

  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Please wash your hair beforehand – it will be hard to wash for 2-3 days afterwards.

  • Avoid intense workouts (light yoga & walking are OK)

  • No antibiotics and/or steroids.

  • If you have had Lasik or Cataract Surgery you need medical clearance from your physician.

  • Do NOT wear mascara and have your eyes free of makeup and moisturizer.

  • If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before the procedure.

  • If you wear eyeglasses, please bring those to your appointment.

  • Do bring sunglasses to wear home. Your eyes may be sensitive is light.

AFTER CARE ADVICE:

  • Expect the color to appear darker and thicker due to swelling.

  • After the procedure, cleansing should be done with a clean cotton pad or tissue in a patting motion for the first 4 hours. This is to absorb excess lymph fluid. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of any blood/lymphatic fluids. Don't apply ointment.

  • You can use ice packs for the first 48 hours for 10 minutes at a time.

(Just make sure to have clean paper towel/tissue wrapped around it to

prevent contamination)

Days 1-3:

  • Expect swelling due to gravity.

  • Change your pillowcase; avoid germs and pets around the area for 3 days.

  • Don’t get the area wet, only clean it from lymph fluid with a damp cotton pad from time to time.

Days 4-10:

  • Clean the area with lukewarm water morning and night, then let air dry.

  • Start ointment on the 3rd-4th day.

  • Apply a THIN layer of ointment 2x daily for 4-5 days.
